THE MERCURY BUSINESS NEWS: CEO of Pottstown business participates in roundtable with U.S. Labor secretary

PHILADELPHIA — On Feb. 28, David Donald, CEO of PeopleShare, Pottstown, was among representing businesses in the Philadelphia region to participate in a roundtable discussion, Winning the Future Form on Small Business at the Philadelphia Navy Yard.

U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis led the discussion on how to create and save jobs in the region.

The discussion explored key points of President Obama’s “Winning the Future” initiative. Donald said that much of the conversation with Solis was about making capital available to smalls businesses and connecting those small businesses with opportunities in emerging industries such as clean energy.

PeopleShare is a Pottstown based company that provides temporary and permanent staffing services to the region. PeopleShare was founded in 2005 and now seven offices in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Virginia. With more than 500 employees in Pottstown, PeopleShare is the second largest employer in the borough, according to the TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce.

Appointed by Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, Donald serves on the The Philadelphia Workforce Investment Board which governs the public workforce system in Philadelphia. Donald also serves on the Advisory Board to Temple’s Fox School of Business MBA Program. Originally from Pottstown, Donald is a graduate of Pottstown High School.
