Pat Troy-Brooks joined PeopleShare in 2012 as a Branch Manager of the Delaware operation. She brings over 28 years of experience in staffing, employment, management and workforce development. She has had extensive experience securing and managing major contracts, understanding her client’s challenges and developing creative solutions.
Prior to joining PeopleShare Pat owned a very successful staffing firm for fifteen years with offices located in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. In addition she started a business school and immediately won American Recovery and Investment Act funded contracts to train over 1500 displaced workers on 21st century job search techniques and occupational skills to help them gain the skills needed to get back to work.
Since selling her business in 2010, Pat wrote a book called, Your Job Search GPS™ Navigate to Your Career Destination in 10 Steps which enables her to empower a broader audience by teaching readers how to regain employment via a step by step program. Her book has been incorporated into several school district and college curriculums.
Pat served as a liaison to President Obama’s Economic Recovery Workforce Advisory Board, and is the recipient of dozens of national and local awards, including the Delaware Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Strong, Smart and Bold Award and the NAACP Visionary Leadership Award. She has been featured in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Ebony, MBE Magazine, Enterprising Women’s Magazine, Essence, Black Enterprise, and Delaware News Journal. |
