M ay 15, 2014| PeopleShare’s Xpert Café 2014 was a complete success! It was held at the Crowne Plaza Valley Forge. This was our 6th event with almost 300 guests. Our Speakers, Joe Gerstandt and Jason Lauritsen, are authors of the book Social Gravity: Harnessing the Natural Laws of Relationships.  They captured the crowd’s attention with a Flash Mob and then maintained the high energy level during their discussion the 6 Laws of Social Gravity, bringing both professional and personal experience which was relatable to all. P hiladelphia Works Opens New, Integra ted PA CareerLink® CenterCenter City location is the first of four integrated centers to open across the city, implementing the “No Wrong Door” service delivery model Philadelphia Works, the city’s lead workforce development organization, today joined with Philadelphia Mayor Michael A. Nutter and Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry Acting Secretary Kathy Manderino to officially open the first-of-its-kind, new integrated PA CareerLink® center at 1617 JFK Boulevard in Philadelphia. For the first time, Philadelphia job seeke rs and employers will receive services in the same center. This location is the first of four integrated PA CareerLink® centers that will ope n in convenient locations across Philadelphia during 2015 under the “No Wrong Door” model of workforce service delivery. “The ‘No Wrong Door’ model ensures high-quality services for all Philadelphia residents,” said Mayor Michael Nutter. “As a city, we can and should be doing more to integrate and modernize our workforce development system to respond to the needs of a 21st century job market.
